Kings Courtyard Botique Hotel

King's Courtyard, situated in the picturesque Vumba environment of Zimbabwe's Eastern Highlands, offers breathtaking scenic views. This review focuses on our stay at the Havillah extension, located 1.5km away from the main lodge from the 24th of December to the 27th of December 2024. Room Quality: 2/5 Our room at the Havillah extension had several shortcomings. The lack of electricity, with a generator operating only from 6 pm to 10 pm, was inconvenient. The furniture was dusty due to ongoing construction, and the shower lacked a cubicle, causing water to splash everywhere. While hot water was available through the solar geyser, the bathroom lacked doors. Notably, the room featured a double bed, which contradicted the lodge's "meant for Kings & Queens" slogan. Other amenities, such as a wardrobe and iron, were absent. We were also advised not to use the kettle due to the generator's limited capacity. Investing in a solar system would be ideal. Entertainment: 2/5 Our room had a 32-inch TV connected to DSTV, but WiFi was unavailable. Although WiFi is accessible at the main lodge, the connection is slow, and upgrading to a more reliable service would enhance the experience. Location: 5/5 The lodge's scenic surroundings and well-manicured lawns, particularly at the main lodge, are truly stunning. However, parking at the Havillah extension is limited. Food and Dining (at the main lodge): 2/5 Some menu items, including oxtail and beef fillet, were unavailable during our stay, limiting our dining options. Staff: 5/5 The staff were exceptionally friendly and made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable. In conclusion, while King's Courtyard boasts an idyllic location and excellent staff, the Havillah extension requires improvement in terms of amenities, maintenance, and services to justify its premium branding. With some upgrades and attention to detail, the lodge has the potential to provide a truly regal experience for its guests.

Enjoyed the Kings breakfast and very friendly and welcoming staff. Left some clothing in the room and had they had the courtesy to contact and notify us return and collect. Thumps up Chiedza 👏👏

The room was the best, very smart and up to standard. The food was first class. The team very helpful and friendly and make u feel very comfortable. Keep up the good work team. Lovely indeed enjoyed every minute of it
